7 Random facts about myself

So thank you, Taryn Choate (http://www.rtbchoate.blogspot.com/), I have now been tagged, and have to write 7 RANDOM facts about myself.. which should be fun... but I feel the pressure... So here goes.

1. I am horrible at keeping up with Joe's and my laundry. I have no trouble keeping up with Scarlett's cute little clothes, but our clothes, are just big, and boring, and so I am not very good at keeping up with washing them.

2. I love to eat out. I don't know how to cook very many things, and so it is so wonderful just to be able to walk into a restaurant, usually our top ones are Applebee's, Olive Garden, Serrano's, Red Robin and B.J.'s, and be able to just tell them what I want and have it brought to me. (thus, Papa John's for dinner tonight)

3. My favorite color is Red and I actually named my kid Scarlett for that reason.

4. I love holiday decorations, but I hate taking them down. As Halloween draws to an end, I have to take my witch/jack0lantern decor down, and prepare for turkey day, and then Christmas right after that.

5. I am a blog addict. I could blog up to 3 times a day, but yet I get SO SAD when people can't find the time to read and comment on them...which is SO SILLY... I know other people find better things to do with their time, like cleaning their houses, lol.

6. I live for movies, which is so sad now because we hardly ever get to go anymore now that we are parents of a 10 month old. But I even enjoy going by myself. (as long as the concession people aren't mean to me, like they were 2 times ago... but that is another story...) Sometimes I think it is a good thing that I have such a love for movies, because all my hubby can think about is making one, which helps me to have a little more tolerance than most wives would have.

7. I watch and pay attention to commercials on TV. (but maybe that is just because I don't have DVR)

I know that picture tag has been going around, and nobody  has tagged me, but it looked like so much fun that I went ahead and did it.  You go to your pictures folder and pick the 3rd folder and the 3rd picture down, and then describe what it is of.

This is a picture of Scarlett driving her little car around the living room at our last apartment. We got this car from my cousin Rachel Chapell who gave it to us brand new in the box, because her son already had a car and didnt' need a second one. She is always so nice to think of us and give us things she doesn't need. 

I think Scarlett's Daddy must have gotten her dressed that morning, because I know I never put those two garments together to form an outfit. Of course there is stuff on the floor as I am no A+ housekeeper. You can also see the Huggies box. We buy the regular huggies, and I always have to look closely at the box to make sure it has the velcro that I like, as there is the blue kind and the white kind. (If you use the regular huggies you will know what I am talking about)

This picture is from mid June, and Scarlett's hair is a lot longer now.

There was only one photo in my sixth folder, and it was this one. This is Scarlett drinking a capri sun, on the floor at Payless Shoesource with some sunglasses on. I had just finished rebuilding the display behind her that she completely dis-assembled. I think she may definitely have a future in retail. It is funny, when my mother in law saw this picture, she couldnt tell that it was a capri sun, she thought scarlett was holding a thong. Hahaha.

Believe it or not, I've been tagged again! This time by Mom of 3. I am going to steal a cute thing from Jen's page that explains it, but I just don't have any people left to tag at the end.

Here goes:

1. I can't roller skate or roller blade. I am too uncoordinated for that.
2. I love bargain shopping, especially thrift stores, swap meets and dollar stores.3. My biggest pet peeve is when a person REFUSES to load their dishes in to an empty dishwasher! It takes just as long as rinsing it and leaving it in the SINK!4. I love purses. There is something very comforting about having a really cute purse or diaper bag. I just can't explain it. But my newest rule is that I don't pay more than $20 for any purse or bag, because lets face it, they all end up destroyed and practically disposable, so why waste the money?
5. I am an EXCELLENT Christmas shopper. I can go to the mall for 2 hours and get gifts for everyone on my list.. And they are perfect gifts not just hodge podge generic gifts. It is my niche in life, and I would love to one day be a personal shopper.
6. I have anxiety the entire time I am away from my baby, and I have to at least text or call one time while I am out EVERY time I leave her somewhere, which is not often.
7. Naptime is my favorite time of day.

Rainy day Remarks

When you live in an arid desert, a little rain, or a lot... is an EVENT. Everyone runs to their Facebooks, and says things like, "OMG It's raining!" or "Hail storm, say what?!" We don't do things like check the forecast to plan our wardrobes for the day, assuming that today, just like every day for the last 3 months will be record breaking triple digit heat.... so today, I wore a sun-dress with a tank-top underneath... and it not only rained, but hailed. Scarlett and I were out to lunch with my sister Wendy when the storm appeared out of nowhere. Afterward we decided to run to Walmart. Wendy dropped us off in front of the store and yet, we still got pretty wet. This is Scarlett, wrapped in the blanket that I had fortunately brought with us.

Around here, Pigtails let alone ponytails in general are no simple feat. Scarlett thinks that they are the most terribly inhumane treatment to her head. She whined and cried for I kid you not... an hour, because she had ponytails. But, by the end of the day today, she came to grips with the fact that I wasn't going to take them out, AND that they didn't hurt anymore.... Imagine that. 

The day before, I attempted a single pony, it was much less successful... worked its way out quickly and still looked like a mess by the end of the day. And, she also of course whined and sobbed the entire time it occupied her head. Yes, for the past two rainy days, Scarlett has been our Rainbow. She loves this shirt, almost as much as the cupcake shirt.... which funny enough is also red.

Three days ago, we went to Ross to pick up Joe some exercise shorts... Joe made the mistake of taking Scarlett by the toy section and caved.. he let her have this tea set, which she absolutely loves and adores. Here is a pic of her having tea with her Dad. 

That self same afternoon, I attempted to get Scarlett ready to attend a birthday party. When I went to put her shoes on, she cried out, that they were too small and that they hurt her foot. 

(particularly her right foot which while they were on, she walked on her foot entirely sideways scaring the poop outta me. Joe told me to buy her new shoes before I had the panic attack over something being wrong with her foot... and he was right) 

So, we had to make a pit stop at Payless Shoesource and thank heavens it is BOGO time. Scarlett did not want sneakers so we went the sandal route. She is now in size 9. She got the white flower sandals in this size, (which she has previously owned in 2 other sizes) as well as these lovelies: 

Butterfly Sandals for the win! She liked them so much, she wore them out of the store (you can see that the tag is still on)

I went to the OB on Monday, and Eloise is head down. After Thursday, the doctors will do nothing to stop me from delivering, if I go into labor. Ellie loves to click me and run amok in my belly. I can't wait to meet her. Again, remember to vote on the arrival poll to the right. 

My heartburn is killing me, so I am going to bed now.
