A fall at Gymboree

Yesterday I was stranded at home, so my sister Wendy arranged for my Mom to come pick me up, take me with her to run a few errands, and then she would bring me to her house so I could hang out there, so that worked well. Then once my mom had to get ready for work around 2:30, Wendy called and invited us to run to Gymboree with her, and in my mind I was trying to decide if it was or was not a good idea to go, and I almost didnt go, but I wanted the outing so we went.

The good news is we found Scarlett's Halloween costume she is going to be a petal fairy. The bad news is that right after I paid, I went to go walk to where Wendy was waiting with Scarlett and the Stroller, and my dangerous shoes caused me to take an extremely hard fall. I landed on my left elbow then tried to cushion the fall with my right knee and left wrist. My left elbow and wrist are in excruciating pain. I have never been in pain this bad, it makes me think that labor was just a short and fleeting pain compared to this. I could sleep last night, just an hour here or there, because my arm just throbs and aches in most positions, including the typing position I am in now, but I wanted to let everyone know that it happened, and that I am trying to heal fast so I can go back to being a good mommy.

The other day we were at Mimi's cafe, and I had pulled my camera out to take pictures of Scarlett as I always do, and went ahead and took a few of Joe, on the first one I told him,
"You never look too excited about my taking your picture"so then the next picture had a particularly lovely face to go with it...

then he admitted defeat and gave me a half-smile

(on a completely un-related note, how come blogger won't rotate your picture for you, that seems like an easy enough thing to do... )

ch-ch-ch-changes

I have again made changes to the blog; ever the perfectionist, I just can't ever seem to get it exactly the way I want it. If only I were a web designer, with the training and know-how to do EVERYTHING I want to do.. but instead we just have little baby-steps here and there. I'm sad the weekend is over. I wish the could just be a few days longer, We could just take them away from the week days, I am sure nobody would mind.

Scarlett had a rough night last night. We didn't finally get her to fall asleep until almost 11 pm and she didn't take a single good nap that day, but today she has been much better and I was able to get her to sleep by 8:30. I think she was having some gassiness & teething pains last night. I have been having the worst time uploading pics to blogger the past few days which is really starting to grate on my nerves! I would love to share with you Scarlett pics, but if I cant get it to work with me what can I do? lucky for us, my computer has now decided to cooperate and provide you cute pictures to look at below:

So last night Joe helped me in photo shop to make my Red Rawlins icon even better! yea hooray! We were only up until 11:30! ALSO last night I went to a party that my friend Nancy Wharton put on, and it was a jewelery party plan that her friend does, and that she just signed up to do. (the name of the plan is not in my mind as I stayed up SO LATE) I was going to look into it to see if I would be interested in doing a plan like that, but am still unsure. I do have a catalog though, if any of you are interested in looking at their products; they had a lot of really fun bracelets, that's what caught my attention. I bought 3 bracelets and a necklace and a ring, but there were at least 4 more bracelets I wanted, and a couple necklaces too. I will let you know if I decide to do a party.

its been a while

My husband had to take the computer to work with him the past 3 days, so I have been web-less, and boy have I felt it! Scarlett just went down for a nap, so now a have a free minute to post.

Monday, Spring came over with Atley and we went swimming. Then we had lunch at Dilly's Deli. We may go to the mall today, depending if Spring has enough time, as she is getting ready to move next week back to Utah.

Tuesday I had the car in the afternoon so we drove out to Mesa and spent the day there and my mom helped me put our new vacuum together. I don't know if I like my vacuum. The first time I used it I thought I smelled kind of a burning smell Plus, Scarlett is not used to hearing a vacuum since we didnt have one before, so she just cries when I turn it on. (thats my vacuum to the right)

Wednesday my Mom came and picked us up and and brought us out to Mesa, and we went on some errands with her, and she bought us some Wendy's, and it was yummy. I love their crispy chicken sandwiches for 99cents. Joe had to go to a stupid banquet thing for work, so she brought us home at about 8 pm, just after Joe got home, and we put our Scarlett to bed.

Yesterday, Joe was actually able to take a lunch break and came and took us to Olive Garden for lunch. They have their bottomless pasta bowl thing going on, so I ordered my fettuccine Alfredo with mushrooms and then i got more of the same thing, and then was able to just box it up and take it home to eat when I got hungry this morning.

We also stopped by CVS on our way home from picking up Joe yesterday and got some little pints of Haagen-Daz ice creams. Then at about 8 we got hungry again and ordered in Chinese. This place called Beijing on Germann and Alma School has really good Chinese. I had Broccoli Beef and Crab Puffs, and Joe had Sweet and Sour Pork. Beijing also gives you really cool packets of sweet & Sour like you normally get soy sauce in. They are great, I save the extra ones in my little seasoning bucket for one day when I learn to cook. :)

Scrabble

There is a Youth Scrabble Tournament on TV right now on ESPN. How funny is that? These kids are really good. Though it is kind of boring to watch. haha i found a pink scrabble board online!

Yesterday there was a barbecue at my parents, and my mom actually came and picked us up. My dad also gave Joe a bike, so he is very excited to soon start biking to work. Scarlett loves to hear kids talk, she thinks my nephew Brian is the funniest thing she's ever heard, she just ROARS in laughter. My parents were so entertained watching them. Scarlett is currently laying in front of the TV talking to it. She's very social even if she doesn't necessarily have the desire to crawl.

We think she's the cutest baby ever, but we may be slightly bias. I know its been a long time since I posted any pics of her, but thats because I loaned my husband the camera when he went to Vegas, and he never found the charger for it, so I can't even upload the pictures from my camera onto my computer or take more pictures. I've been pretty sad about it. Yesterday we went swimming again, and I would have liked to get some pictures. Plus she is getting a lot longer and I think she looks a little slimmer in her body. She rolls around to try to get places but her precision in where she rolls to is lacking, and seems to be a little frustrating to her. I wouldnt want to go back to helpless childhood.

Last night Wendy and I went and saw Death Sentence, the new Kevin Bacon movie. It was really good, but extremely violent and had a lot of questionable language for those of you with concerns about those things. John Goodman was awesome in it too. I know my husband will like the movie. It was action packed, and intense all the way through. Thumbs up from me. I put a couple pics down below from the movie.

I'm getting hungry; I think I will start thinking about lunch and getting my baby dressed. all our love.
