""Would you believe a 16-year-old girl wrote it in 1877? Euphonia Allen wrote "Chopsticks" and published it under the name Arthur de Lulli. It was the only song she ever wrote (if you could call it a song).
By the way, just because I know you'll ask...the song has nothing to do with the Asian eating utensils. The sheet music instructions told the pianist to "play with both hands turned sideways, the little fingers lowest, so that the movements of the hands imitates the chopping from which this waltz gets its name."
No doubt, piano enthusiasts everywhere are forever grateful for this fine piece of work""(found that info on mindlesscrap.com)

Shumway Caroling Party
This is my cousin Rachel's little boy Easton. He's Scarlett's kissing cousin. We like his Mohawk and his cute little Puma shoes.
Cousin Randy dressed up as Santa Clause; that scared Scarlett, she was really not happy with me.
(behind her are cousins Maddie and Tatum)
Scarlett likes donuts a lot.

the tree, and our anniversary
So on Saturday my Hubby took Scarlett and I to pick out a tree. I now have it mostly decorated. I will most likely switch out some of the gold bows for red ones, I just feel lazy at the moment. But here are some pics of our tree and decor. Enjoy!

Our 2nd Anniversary
Saturday, December 8, 2007
Friday
Yesterday afternoon, Joe brought us the car, and told us he was working till 8 so we went out to Mesa. Though I had planned to go to my Mom's house to have her help me make bows, it turned out not to be the best time, so we ended up going over to Anjeanette's house and hanging out with she and Aidan. Then her husband Daniel came home and they invited me to stay for dinner. Then I mentioned the movie Snatch, and Daniel nor Anjie had seen it, so we decided that it would be fun if I went and picked up Joe and then we brought the movie over.
We had a really good time. Scarlett was a little cranky because she didn't take very good naps yesterday, but at least she went right to bed when we got home. This morning she woke up at 9 to have a bottle, but she is still tired, so I put her back down. Joe is working all day today, and just came home for a brief moment and is gone again without a word. He went in at 6am, so I am sure he is just a little tired. I think maybe I'll go back to sleep too. I hope you are all having an excellent weekend so far.
