Bob Lob Law Law Blog (say that 5x fast!)

So last night somehow, Scarlett ended up in my bed. Honestly, I am blaming her dad for this one, since he decided it was just TOO HOT and turned the a/c back on, FREEZING her to death downstairs, forcing her up to my bed, where I could try to make her keep a blanket on her body. This morning, when Joe was getting ready for work, I pitifully begged him to turn the air off, and he did, and now Scarlett is still sound asleep in my bed. (this is a picture Joe took of another day when Scarlet slept in my bed, she was a bit better behaved that day... actually was on her side of the bed!)

That girl sleeps in the strangest positions, its like impossible for her to just sleep normally in the same direction on the pillow next to me.... she sleeps sideways, upside down, and every which way. At one point this morning, she was completely cuddled up to my top half, from upside down... I am not sure if you are getting the mental image, but, as sweet as it was, it made me a bit claustrophobic.

It's funny, how as a young girl, I was sure that I would always want a guy to cuddle with in bed. Now, however, there really is nothing more of a nuissance than someone plastered to you when you want to get some much needed rest. It is unclear to me what exactly makes that so irritating, but it is... it is...

Don't get me wrong, cuddling is great, and has its time, just not when I am trying to sleep, lol.

Um.....Blogging every day, I do seriously run out of exciting things to report, however my sister Wendy may be coming to visit me this weekend which should be way fun! I hope my Joe doesn't have to work TOO much so that I can have the most time to dedicate to having good times with her-- Scooby free...

Joe's work schedule is pretty much entirely unpredictable. I never know, if he is going to come home telling me he has LOADS of work to do on his laptop, or if he is going to let me borrow it, to chat with some of my "intermet" friends. :) Don't laugh too hard considering that is about my only interaction with the outside world, besides talking to people through order windows, or at restaurants.

You might wonder why I would need to borrow Joe's computer, when you know I have my own.... well, for about 2 months now, (or at least it feels that long) I have been missing the letter T. That's right, T is missing from my keyboard, which makes typing pretty much anything a full on NUISSANCE. (wow i have used that word a lot in this post) However, I guess I am getting the hang of it now, more than before, without it driving me nuts trying to type this post. Also, I have no webcam, and Joe's has one built in, so thats handy, and his screen is a lot bigger than mine, which helps in multi-tasking.

So, I am still conflicted with this new layout and the fact that my "big picture" days are over... Yes, I know I am a silly girl.

Before we had kids, Brian's brother left his little girl with us over night. She was the biggest bed hog I have ever known. That girl sure knew how to turn and roll and throw her limbs about. We only had a full size bed at the time and 2 adults plus a squiggler, that is brutal!

My how sweet I want to sleep with a child days have passed, I'm afraid...

i love that picture!!! Too bad jo is gone all the time, and when he is home, he's not really there! You should take Scarlett to the YMCA or something..im sure she would have fun, and then you could have some social interaction with a real adult! I need to have interaction with an adult from time to time..esp. in the summer, when Phil works long hours!

Love the mental gynmastics image of her upside down hugging, and I do identify. Yes, I recall the newlywed days of enjoying the long desired togetherness of cuddling in bed... children in the bed was a no, no because Dad was afraid he would clobber some tiny babe in his sleep, and I hated being the one TRAPPED IN THE MIDDLE. We too have passed that portal, have our personal little sleeping rituals, pillow favorites, preferred positioning of pillows for maximum comfort, and we absolutely LOVE our bed! Have fun this weekend! Love, Mom

First and foremost, I LOVE the new layout. I can read it. Secondly, I've been missing the letter "H" for nigh unto a year now. It's totally retarded, but you get used to it after awhile. WHAT is up with letters just breaking off? Finally, I completely agree about the whole "do not cuddle me" thing when it's bedtime. I don't get people who want to snuggle, it's hot, and I'm trying to sleep. I like a nice big gap between us. Oh, and to answer your questions...the house is off of 10th street. I'll be in 20th ward. It's 3 bedrooms, 2 bath. I don't know square footage, but probably around 15 or 1600. Not all that huge, but so much bigger than where I am. The backyard is really huge and it has a big laundry room, all things that make me happy. Plus, big kitchen and adorable frontyard. Hope that answers all your questions.

Jarom is the same way if I had to share a bed with him. He is crazy. One time (he was sleeping in his own bed thankfully) he went to sleep with his head at the head and his feet at the foot of the bed, but sometime during the night, he switched and then twisted around again. He had the sheet tied around him, it was really funny.
