New things to say today

The more times I tried, the lower my number got, so I gave up, but I swear I can type more words than that in a minute!

67 words

Typing Test

I have also become quite the Etsy fan. I found this cool seller who makes these beautiful things. If I tried to discribe them I know I would do an injustice so I'll post the pic with a built in link so you can see for yourself. She makes stinking cute stuff that I want. Yes, thats me again, want want want. The one with the Red and white gingham and polka dots was my biggest love, because it would match SO WELL in Scarlett's room on a cute little black shelf. The mommy and baby one I was a sucker for (obvious reasons there) plus it has butterflies and I LOVE butterflies. I can be such a sap sometimes. Oh well, right?

I thought this one was cool for Halloween. A different kind of decoration.
^this is the link to the cute Etsy Shop responsible for the dolls above... I am warning you now, Etsy is a dangerous place for those of you who love STUFF as much as I do!

Joe is working late tonight which is a bummer. I don't think this week could go by any slower if it tried. I want it to be Friday, so that we can get paid, and go to Olive Garden and go to the movies, and pay more bills, and have more than $8 in our checking account. Sending my love.

Rhett and Scarlett

So last week, my brother Ben's wife Kimmy had their third child. They named him Rhett, so now we have a Rhett and a Scarlett in the family. How fun is that? I say one day we have them dress up as the characters from gone with the wind for Halloween. I think that would be way cute. I can't wait to meet little Rhett. Once he gets a little bigger I'll have to get a picture of he and Scarlett together. That's all for now.

A PAST LOVE

Bicycle Riding. When I was a kid, I just loved riding my bike anywhere it could possibly take me. Whats funny is I hadn't realized that this had changed until a year or so ago I tried to ride a bike, and my bottom is just not an appropriate size for such activities, it was a heartbreaking realization. Hopefully some day, my past love and I can be re-united.

my husband has MAD SKILLS!

Okay so I wanted an image to encourage all you lovely readers of my blog to comment, and my wonderful husband helped me design one as you can see off in the upper right hand corner of my blog and in this post. I think it is so beautiful, and it is just a constant reminder of what a wonderful guy I married. His skills, talents, and knowledge are limitless and amazing to me.

He believes that dreams can come true and that there is no such thing as an "unrealistic goal". This has taken me a lot of time to try to understand, because I have always limited myself to trying to achieve things that I could realistically see happening, which has prevented me from really making ANY goals at all. I love his constant love and encouragement, and appreciate all the hard work he puts in to provide for us. We love him so much!
(you can feel free to add this to your blog if you want, just throw some credit our way. thanks)

Flowers

Today I really wanted to check out the new Fresh & Easy they just built on Dobson and Queen Creek, and was hoping to buy some flowers, but then in the end I decided I could just take a picture of them and save my money. Besides, now we can all enjoy them.

I always love blown red roses. For those of you who have not worked in the Flower business "blown" is the term used to describe roses that have already opened too much to be worth full price. So these ones were marked down from 14.99 to 7.99, but they are just the way I like 'em. GORGEOUS!

These pink ones are beautifully blown too.

Yellow is such a happy color.
Plus these ones will probably live a day longer than these other ones, since they are a little tighter still.

Mixed arrangements are fun to buy because then you really get to have the fun of placing them in the vase. Always remember, if you want to have your flowers live longer, pull the leaves from the stems that go into the water. (of course the filler like babies breath is different, don't worry about that)

Have a happy day! Flowers always make me happy.

just around the house

Scarlett loves to relax on the couch with her Daddy.

This teddy bear belonged to my Grandma Shumway. Grandma once told me that she bought it when she was at a grocery store right after her divorce. She was about to drive across the country back to Pennsylvania, and the bear just called her name. He rode in the Passenger seat the whole way to Pennsylvania and provided her companionship, and someone to talk to.
Scarlett doesn't know this story, but she does love that bear and I think can somehow feel a similar connection. She loves to cuddle with him and share her food with him.

Scarlett.

Okay so I am pretty much convinced that My Scarlett is the most beautiful girl in the whole wide world. I will explain the pictures as needed.

Above is Scarlett browsing through the new Scentsy catalog. She loves it because it isn't as big and cumbersome as a magazine, and because I look at it so much, and she wants to be just like me. ha. poor thing.

This is Scarlett standing by the little fake flower arrangement we keep on our coffee table. She has finally discovered how to pose for the camera. As soon as she sees it pointed at her she says cheese, and squints her eyes and makes a cheesy smile. She is such a ham.

She is such a blessing to me. Unconditional love is an amazing thing.

Okay so the longer I stay on the ABC site the more things I find I want, like this Greys Anatomy T-Shirt (XL of course)

And if you REALLY want to go all out, you could get me this bag!

OK, I'm really done now. All my love.

Us, A-Z

A is for Artichokes, they sound so exciting, but the truth is the only thing I like with artichokes is Spinach and artichoke dip. yummy.
B is for Banannas, Scarlett LOVES them.
C is for The Cranberries, they are one of Scarlett's favorite music groups since birth
D is for Dog, Joe has always wanted a dog, and we would love to get a pet one day, but not until we have a yard, and Scarlett is a little bigger.
E is for Enchiladas. I taught myself to make AWESOME cheese and green chili enchiladas on my own without a recipe and they are SO good. Let me know if you'd like to know how I do it.
F is for Fettucini Alfredo, which I am craving from Olive Garden, and their yummy salad.. mmmm. Maybe I should have eaten before I started this post, ha.
G is for Game Shows, I am obsessed. Now that I have DVR I can record it, and never miss an episode with John O'Hurley on the Family Feud... I just love him! I also record The Price is Right, and Lingo, and Camoflauge and Chain Reaction. The last 3 are on GSN, one of the greatest channels ever.
H is for Halloween, Scarlett is going to be Minnie Mouse (thanks to aunt Tina for the dress), I still need to buy the ears.
I is for Icecream, we love cookies and cream best. Joe likes to make just one big bowl and share, one of the many things I love about him.
J is for Juice, Scarlett loves capri sun which she calls "juice". Joe on the other hand could probably hold a world record for drinking a giant container of juice (usually cranberry) in one evening.
K is for Kisses. When we want a kiss from scooby, we have to close our eyes, and stick our necks out in Scarlett's direction and maye the MMMM sound until she gives us a kiss. She falls for it most of the time.
L is for Lullabies. Joe sings Barenaked Ladies songs to Scarlett as lullabies. She loves it. Also she sleeps with the baby einstein lullaby CD playing in her room all night.
M is for money, it is welcome in all forms, and we always accept donations.
N is for napkins, I never buy them. I figure a paper towel, especially my VIVA paper towels make excellent napkins, so why buy both?
O is for Office. Joe loves his new office in this house. I think it makes him feel like he has a place all of his own to be, which gives him great relief. Joe also loves the show The Office too.
P is for Pablo (Scarlett's crush) on the Backyardigans. It is Scarlett's FAVORITE show, and we have like 10 episodes on our DVR, her favorite is the "Surfs Up" one. She even has a Backyardigans nightlight.
Q is for Quiet. I love the peace and quiet of naptime.
R is for Redbox. This is how we rent movies. They are located in all Walgreens and Walmarts and even some Circle K's. It only costs $1 a day, and it fits into our "budget". Okay so we dont really have a budget, but we should get one, so I don't have to stress so much about another R word- RENT!
S is for Saturday and Sunday, the great days when Joe is usually off work.
T is for Teething. When will it end?
U is for "Up" which is what Scarlett says when she wants to get into her high chair
V is for The View, which I love because I love Whoopi Goldberg. Yes, I just love her, and pretty much always agree with what she has to say.
W is for What not to wear. I love that show. Joe thinks I would like to go on that show, but I am not so sure. I mean who wouldnt like a free 5 thousand dollar wardrobe? But on the other hand, I wouldn't want people telling me that I have bad taste.
X is for X Files, which was Joe's favorite TV show, and yes, we did go see the movie even though I didnt see the first one (I didnt even know there was a first one until after we saw the second one)
Y is for "Yes" which sounds SO much better coming out of Scarlett's mouth than the constant "No" we've endured for so long.
Z is for Zits. I HATE them, and I am so grateful that the horribly painful one that was somehow imbedded in my nose has finally departed. Honestly having that pain just made me glad that my nose doesnt ache and throb all of the time.

I love you all. Hope you have enjoyed Us A-Z. Feel free to do it yourself.
