an Accident

So yesterday I was in a car accident. Scarlett was in her car seat behind me. I was turning right out of a gas station at the South East corner of Dobson and Chandler Blvd, and wanted to go straight. A car had stopped so that I could enter into the lane in front of them, so I went, and it was clear when I left the driveway, but then I was hit by a Buick on my left drivers side tire. There is no body damage, but I think they bent my axle, and the car is not drivable.

I went to urgent care because I have some neck and back pain, so I have Vicoden and a muscle relaxer for the pain.

However, apparently we have no medical coverage for the accident, nor do we have towing coverage.. lovely. And we have to pay a $1000 deductible on our car repairs.

Supposedly someone is going to call me from State farm to get my car moved to the repair shop. Meanwhile we are trying to figure out how we are going to pay our bills, and I just feel horrible about ruining our car. I was hoping we could get a rental car, but it sounds like that is not covered either. You sure don't get much insurance for your money... I don't have medical insurance either to cover doctor costs.. oh well, luckily I do not think I was seriously injured.

If anyone wants to bring us lunch or dinner sometime this week, we are pretty immobile, and have no food. :) But we have lots of movies if you want to come watch a movie with us.

Money

"Oh the silly things my mommy worries about"

So last night, I went to sleep troubled about money. I watch our dollars and cents very carefully to make sure we don't overdraw, and every so often a "mystery charge" from mac.com will appear, and we know who the culprit is.... Joe. Well, I don't know that he got any sleep at all last night, but I do know that somehow he managed to get that charge reversed, so we didn't go negative for real at midnight. See, that saved us $200 in fees. I love that hubby.Scarlett's hair is getting so long and curly, can you see the big jerry curl on top of her head, I was having fun playing with it.she needs both remotes because 2 is better than 1

This is the tense face..I think this one is funny when you can see the guys expression on the TV behind her. Did anyone else watch that new lie detector show the other night? It made me wish that I had DVR so that I could fast forward through the LONG AWKWARD gaps of "suspense". Finally we just put it on mute with the captions, because it was giving me a headache, but I think we will probably do the same thing next week, it is interesting to hear all the deep dark secrets people have. The second guy I thought it was a little sad, that he was a gambler, a member of the Health Club for Men, and they just kept revealing more private things that would have been just embarassing for the guy.

Scarlett loves her MeiMa

So, truth be told , I am pretty sure my Scarlett Paige loves her MeiMa more than she loves her dear old MeiMei, which is me.

Yesterday, Scarlett and I spent all day at my parents house, and Scarlett was constantly putting her arms out with a pouty face for my Mom to pick her up. I guess she is just tired of me, but it is really sweet to see how calm and happy she is in my Mom's arms.

She went right to sleep, and even stayed asleep when I took her from her arms, and carried her down the hall and put her in the pack and play in my old room. My mommy is magic. I love her so much.

Scarlett Paige also loves to shop. I discovered that if I put her down on the floor at Carter's she will just kneel in front of the rack and run her hands over all the tags.

She is like your own personal shopper.

LaKisha Jones

Okay, so maybe you don't love LaKisha Jones from last season's American Idol as much as me, but on the off chance you do, and have been wondering what she's up to, she is starring in The Color Purple on Broadway.

Okay, so really I have no good reason for not posting recently.. but i have been listening to Jewel and dancing around in my living room, and have decided even though I have laziness, I can take a moment and blog.

So, truth be told, my tree is still not completely down, but the red beads are, and Scarlett is enjoying them in all their glory. (this pic was taken 2 weeks after the previous pictures, she just happens to be wearing the same outfit, because I love it.
