an Accident

So yesterday I was in a car accident. Scarlett was in her car seat behind me. I was turning right out of a gas station at the South East corner of Dobson and Chandler Blvd, and wanted to go straight. A car had stopped so that I could enter into the lane in front of them, so I went, and it was clear when I left the driveway, but then I was hit by a Buick on my left drivers side tire. There is no body damage, but I think they bent my axle, and the car is not drivable.

I went to urgent care because I have some neck and back pain, so I have Vicoden and a muscle relaxer for the pain.

However, apparently we have no medical coverage for the accident, nor do we have towing coverage.. lovely. And we have to pay a $1000 deductible on our car repairs.

Supposedly someone is going to call me from State farm to get my car moved to the repair shop. Meanwhile we are trying to figure out how we are going to pay our bills, and I just feel horrible about ruining our car. I was hoping we could get a rental car, but it sounds like that is not covered either. You sure don't get much insurance for your money... I don't have medical insurance either to cover doctor costs.. oh well, luckily I do not think I was seriously injured.

If anyone wants to bring us lunch or dinner sometime this week, we are pretty immobile, and have no food. :) But we have lots of movies if you want to come watch a movie with us.

Oh Molly,
So sorry to hear all this. Sounds miserable. Wat a loss you must be feeling. Shuremakes you feel ike all you pay out is orth hardly nothing. Was the other ar sited then? will their insurance help at all?

I am not sure if the other person was sited... but I think we should try to get help from their insurance... Ive never been in an accident before though, so I don't really know what I am supposed to do or how to handle it.

Shit luck. You handled it well and I'm very, very proud of you. The world is ending because we're too greedy about driving fossil-fueled cars, anyway - no sense in wasting the guilt on one accident - there's ruining the planet and other things to worry about.

Your Hubby.

I like how Joe put it!!

Sometimes its just not fair the way things go. I do hope that you get it all figured out and I hope the insurance will do a little better than they are. Glad you and Scarlett are ok.
