Absowootely Not!

Scarlett's newest catch phrase, is "No Mom, Absowootely (absolutely) Not!" Others include, "Jumping Joobugs (Junebugs)!" and "Jiminy Crickets!"

We did manage to have a little drama a few days ago, when I tripped on the sidewalk carrying Scarlett to our car. We had left her shoes at Joe's work, so I was carrying her, and we were rushing off to help Joe with something, and my shoe caught the edge of the sidewalk where it turns. Mommy insticts of course kicked in, and i landed straight on my knees, and held Scarletts body snug against mine. Unfortunately her body is so long that the force of the fall still pushed her head back, and she got a lil bump on the back of the head with the sidewalk. It really scared her (and me!) more than hurt her and she was fine within a few minutes. I have a pretty skinned up knee, which is a nuissance, But still have full range of motion in my knees, so I am truly grateful that things didn't go worse.

Joe still works a lot. Thats not news, as people always inform me when I mention that :) I am grateful that he is so hard working and loving.

The other day I was talking to an old friend on Facebook, and he asked me what else has been on Molly's mind, besides the baby on the way, and the one that's already here. i thought and thought and thought, and couldn't come up with a darn thing that I think about! Aside from of course money problems etc, which lets face it, is no fun. (image from sodahead.com actually)

Then upon further consideration, I realized that I used to have a lot more thoughts, opinions, and passions in life. I used to have something to blog about every day.. and then someone sort of squashed me like a bug with their criticism of how I parent and live my life, and I haven't had an individual thought since. It seems completely wrong that a person--let alone an OUTSIDE person who doesn't even  KNOW me, could have so much power over me, and my life.

So, I am attempting to say that I am in need of some branching out. Feeding my brain and finding some INTERESTS! Hopefully just considering this, will help occasions to arise.

Boy, this has probably been a dull post. I have  been reading through this great cookbook my mom gave me, called Cooking with 4 Ingredients. Click on the image to go to Amazon.com where you can buy it. Its helping me to choose recipes I would like to make, and know what to pick up at the store so that I can make whatever sounds good that day. Any recipe with sour cream in it seems to really ring my chime in the appetite department. Oh and Cheese. I love cheese. *drools*

Thats all for now. Love you all!

Wonderful Widgets

Tonight I thought to myself, i want a cool widget for my sidebar that shows what the cute little creature growing in my belly looks like, and I found one here  and you must agree, my child looks much more like a salamander than a human! But for some reason that makes me happy.

Scarlett is really growing up, and is really making leaps and bounds with her behavior.. We do a lot of time outs.. but, in general she is a lot better behaved these days. These things also come with age, and experience in life, and all kids are so different.

Scarlett is becoming quite the artist. She can draw circles and ovals very well, and most things she draws, she identifies as "a rope".. She can also draw a mighty fine egg. This time she even drew the baby bird inside. :)

I am so excited to find out if I am having a boy or girl. A friend of mine has named new infant, Scrappy as a nickname, since I already have a Scooby. I like it. :)

Still no sign of sickness.. mostly just tired.

xoxo.

An Update!

For the First time, in a VERY long time, I feel like I have something new and exciting to say!

I'm Pregnant!

words of love and encourangement are welcome :)

Joe and I are very excited about having a closing addition to our family. We will be thrilled with either sex for the baby. I am determined that the due date will be 28th of October, though the due date calculator says otherwise... November 4. If this baby is anything like the last one, it will probably get so comfy in there it will definitely push into November, but either way, as long as he or she is healthy and happy, we don't really mind that much. So, as you can tell I am not very far along, and lots of people wait a long time to announce that they are pregnant, but those of you who know me, know better of me!

The question I have received the most is, "was this planned?" I think that when it comes to babies, the only problem with planning, is everything. I have been off of birth control for over 2 years now, and we are only just now getting pregnant. We knew it would happen in its own time.

I also updated the background on my blog... I like it, though it might look a little bit like fall, I look at it as "growth" and new beginnings. I have been cooking a lot more from home. I am no Top Chef, but, most of the time I like the simple foods I make. I have not been sick yet with this pregnancy which is a blessing to say the least. Every day that I feel fine, and satisfied at the end of a meal, I think, God be praised!

Joe is still working hard and late most days. They are always looking for more companies that are looking for video work. Commercials, training videos, Infomercials, anything with video, or photography, editing, audio commercials, they can do it all. So if you know anyone who needs work like that done, or if you know anyone who is a Surgeon or Dentist, or Doctor, trying to expand their market... Let me know, I can send you an email to forward links. On the right side I have contact info for LizardLand Video (Joe and his Partners' company).

Perhaps some time soon I will have a camera to take pics to post on this blog... it's hard to believe I have gone a year without one.. and only my cell phone pictures. I do try to post day to day pictures on my Facebook, so definitely add me there if you are curious about how we are looking :)

Lots of Love,
