More updates from this summer so far.

A few weeks back my brother David and his family were nice enough to let us come to Tucson to visit. We really had a good relaxing time, and it was a good short weekend break for our little family. His youngest son Michael has curly hair like our Scarlett, so they are a cute pair.

Bekah, David's only daughter, was excited to model for the camera while we were there. She is a sweetheart.

Scarlett loves to walk around the mall on her own two feet, but doesn't always go the direction we hope for, so Daddy keeps her safely by his side.

Scarlett is growing bigger and more beautiful every day. She loves to talk on her play cell phones.

Our Joe has been working lots of hours, but we love to spend time with him as much as we can.

We also love to come to Grandma and Grandpa Shumway's house and play with cousin Karsyn.

Karsyn is such a friendly people-person, and has the most beautiful brown eyes, and sparkling personality. She looks just like her lovely mommy.

Scarlett loves to sit in the comfy chairs at their house.

Sometimes we go over to Grandma Rawlins condo to use internet and she love their chairs too!

We also love to go to Aunt Sarah's house and play with the cute kitchen cousin Alex got for his birthday! Scooby loves to cook!

So far we have had a pretty good summer.

We had a really good time at a little get together at cousin Michael Chappel's house and Scarlett had lots of fun playing with my cousin Rachel's son Easton who is about her age.

He is such a sweet boy, and such a good friend.

We also love to catch up with my cousin Spring, and her daughter Atley.
She can sometimes be shy at first but once she warms up, she is totally love-able and friendly.

Ear infections SUCK!

So Scarlett has an ear infection and is on antibiotic number two and is not acting like her sweet loveable self but more like a wet gremlin (angry ferocious and scary) and by about 3:30 every day i am sick of being mommy.

I just have to try to remind myself, this too, shall pass.

My Grandpa Gerald Shumway passed away last night in my parent's home where he had been living for the past two years. He was ninety two years old. At first i feel sadness, knowing i will never get to see his smiling face again or hear him sing Amazing grace on his way to the breakfast table or help him with the crossword puzzle or play Scrabble with him. However these past few weeks his health had rapidly deteriorated and his prized sense of independance vanished, so I know he is so happy to be on the other side in the arms of loved ones and to be ailment free. He is loved and will be sincerely missed.
